Learning outcomes

This course will focus on the most important neurologic and psychiatric pathologies of childhood and adolescence. Students will strengthen their understanding and knowledge of the clinical pictures, diagnosis and treatments of the neuropsychiatric and pediatric examined disorders.

 

Course contents

Learning disorders; Epilepsy: etiopathogenesis, neuropsichological characteristics, and antiepileptic treatment; Attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder; Tic disorders; Autism spectrum disorders and comorbidity; and Mood disorders.

Teaching methods

Lectures with Q&A sessions, for a total of 8 contact hours.

 

Assessment methods

Students must attend at least 70% of the course contact hours in order to take the final written exam. The final written exam consists of multiple choice questions.
