Learning outcomes

At the end of teaching the student to investigate the nursing and midwifery care processes, organizational, educational, health problems related to the evolution of the population, the operation of health and social systems and paths of specific professionalization.

Course contents

Scientific Research: Characteristics.
The search path: the objectives, the questions / hypotheses and research variables.
The rationale of the study and the literature search.
The research designs, descriptive, observational and experimental.
The research protocol: drafting of the protocol.
The research protocol: an experimental study design.
The research protocol: observational study design.
The CRF, research tools and methods of data collection.
Descriptive statistical analysis.
The authorization request to the Ethics Committee and the competent authority.
Research Ethics and Good Clinical Practices.
How do you write an article: The Consort and the Strobe.

Assessment methods

Teaching evaluation is written and oral and concerns the discussion of a research protocol.

- The / The data collection tool (s)

- The patient information leaflet or the participants (if appropriate)

- Your curriculum

Entries are closed 7 days before the exam.

The assessment is made taking into account the following aspects:

- originality and completeness of the project;

- problem / clinical-care question;

- hypotheses / questions and variables congruent to the problem;

- background research;

- methodology for verifying hypotheses / answering questions;

- instruments;

- expected statistical analysis;

- action plans with a consistent timing to conduct
