Course contents

Cognitive Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation - The Cognitive functions: general concepts of Neuropsychology (definition, history), perception and concept of rehabilitation Neuropsychological bases. - The Warning: basic processes of attention, attention disorders in vascular and traumatic brain injury. Hints of cognitive rehabilitation and presentation of clinical cases. - The Executive Functions: disorders of executive functions in brain-injured patient. Case presentations. - Memory: Memory Short Term, Long Term Memory, learning processes, consolidation, re-enactment. Disorders of memory functions in vascular lesions, traumatic and post-anoxic. Elements of rehabilitation. - The visual-spatial skills: disorders del'esplorazione space. Brief presentation and rehabilitation clinical cases. - The apraxia: description of the riots apraxic, clinical forms of apraxia. Elements of rehabilitation. - Language and communication: the communication system. Neurological bases of language. Disorders of speech and linguaggio.L'afasia. Elements of dysarthria. Outline of rehabilitation and presentation of clinical cases. - The neuropsychological and behavioral disorders in brain injuries. Approaches. Stages of recovery and rehabilitation goals.
