Learning outcomes

After completing this module the student will have the ability to apply knowledge and understanding about physiotherapy in rheumatology and geriatric field, he knows the basic principles of design and implementation of interventions aimed at satisfying the needs of the person with rheumatic and geriatric diseases.

Course contents

Phases of the clinical reasoning in rheumatology and geriatric according to the ICF model:

- Data collection (personal factors, health status, environmental factors)

- Evaluation (observation, physical examination, use of assessment tools appropriate and reliable)

- Diagnosis and functional prognosis

- Identification of the main problems

- Identification of the goals of treatment

- therapy Proposals (individual, group, caregiver training, training self-care)

- Evaluation and orthotic aids and training in the use

- Environmental Changes
