Learning outcomes

At the end of the module, the student has basic notions about acoustic and sound physics, as well as related sound production, and understands the biomechanical events that underline the verbal communication in the terms of the production of linguistic traits.

- voice recognition: quality and sound attack
- sound and noise: formulas, propagation, analysis of sound waves
- Program (FFT and LCP) and sonogram
- frequency and harmonic components
- propagation phenomena: sound field, reflection, refraction, echo,   diffraction resonance inference
- Eufonia parameters
- script and sonogram
- vocal tract and its modifications
- IPA
- phonetic Italian and English transcription
