Learning outcomes

This course is aimed to provide students with the essential knowledge about the cognitive and emotional processes involved in doctor-patient relationship.

Course contents

1. Neurophysiological, cognitive, affective and interpersonal factors related to clinical assesment; 2. Psychological and communication processes involved in doctor-patient relationship and in patient's compliance to treatment.

Teaching methods

Lectures. Experimental and clinical research outputs will be presented and discussed. Clinical scenarios will be simulated and discussed.

Assessment methods

The test will be written, with three open-ended question (total time for the examination: one hour).
