Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student is able to recognize, confront and solve diagnostic problems related to complex cases of oral surgery in particular, the student is able to understand the issues relating to ?? surgical insertion of osseointegrated implants.
Course contents
The program includes, after a brief introduction of the history of implantology and its evolution in the course of time. evaluation of bone quality and quantity, anatomical structures to consider in implant surgery, implant success is based on macro and microritention, the time of implant loading, systemic and local risks factors. An overview of reconstructive surgery in implantology.
Teaching methods
Lectures with slides, films and live support to surgeries relevant to the course program.
Assessment methods
Questionnaire with open-ended questions. Oral examination based on the responses of the written assignment.
Teaching tools
Slides, movies, attendance at live surgery treated during the course, bibliographic reference and articles to study. Hand out of the lessons at the end of the course.
