Course contents
The laboratory intends to highlight the developments of some institutions (houses of correction, orphanages, etc.), tracing the main changes of an educational aspect, which have occurred over time, also making particular reference to the theoretical-operational commitment of some key-figures. The main purpose is to encourage as much as possible a critical reflection by the students on problems faced from a historical-educational point of view. This is fundamental for the profession of educator. So at the end of the course the student - knows the historical developments of the institutions that have operated in the field of marginalization and deviance, tracing their educational connotations; - includes on the historical-educational level the transition from a repressive-punitive approach to the birth of a culture of children's rights; - includes those social, cultural and educational processes that have led to the birth of communities for minors.
