Course contents
Lessons will focused on themes of marginality and juvenile deviance, considered from an educational and historical perspective. Through the analysis of the crucial moments and figures that contributed to the evolution of the juvenile penal system, lessons will investigate the transition from a repressive-punitive-custodial approach to the birth of a culture of children's rights, with the consequent implications on an educational level

Teaching methods
Frontal lessons will be added to group activities focused on different researches, with the aim to analyze documents related to all themes of the course.
Assessment methods
Students will be divided into small groups and instructed to work through several materials by reflection on and analysis of the topics of the course. A final evaluation of these materials demonstrates that the learning objectives have been satisfied in addition to an assessment of the student's level of participation in the proposed activities.
This course will be graded as either a pass or a fail. There is no mark.
