Course contents
This internship is an elective activity for the tracks Data Science and Health and Population Analytics. It can be developed within the Department of Statistical Sciences as RAship or outside as a traditional curricular internship.
- RAships: at the Department of Statistical Sciences. This internal internship consists of a research activity under the supervision of a faculty member of CLAMSS (or of another member of the Department of Statistical Sciences of the University of Bologna) on a specific research project. The person in charge for RAships (RAship Coordinator) is Prof. Laura Anderlucci (laura.anderlucci@unibo.it) who regularly publishes the list of possible projects on virtuale.unibo.it [https://virtuale.unibo.it/].
- The traditional curricular internship is developed on the basis of a training project agreed with a host organization. Internships may be carried out at either University structures or other institutions, both in Italy and abroad. In order to select your host institution, you can consult the internship offers published on Tirocini online [https://tirocini-studenti.unibo.it/tirocini/studenti/loginStudenti.htm] and apply directly to the ones most suitable to you.
With these two types of internship, students will acquire 10 credits for (at least) 250 hours of activities (max. 300 hours).
Students can also add to their study plan one of the following elective activities:
- 84549 - Internship for the preparation of the final dissertation (300 hours - 12 credits),
- 84551 - Internship abroad for the preparation of the final dissertation (300 hours - 12 credits).
