Admission to Business and Economics (CLABE) first cycle degree programme: reserved positions for displaced students and refugees, a.y. 2022-23

As stated in the call for applications published on the course websites, the following positions have been reserved for admission of displaced students or refugees, for a.y. 2022/23:

Am I eligible to apply?

You are eligible to apply for a reserved position if:

  • you hold an Italian residence permit for “asilo politico”, “protezione sussidiaria”, or “motivi umanitari” (political or humanitarian asylum). You can also apply if you currently hold a residence permit for “richiesta asilo” (asylum application): in the event of admission, you will have to obtain one of the previously mentioned residence permits in order to complete the enrolment;


  • you hold an Italian residence permit for “protezione temporanea” for Ukrainian displaced people. You can also apply if you have requested it, or you are eligible to request it according to DPCM 28 March 2022: in the event of admission, you will have to obtain the residence permit for “protezione temporanea” in order to complete your enrolment;


  • you hold a qualification required for admission to a First degree programme, obtained in an institution outside of the Italian education system.

How do I apply?

You have to submit your application from 17 June 2022 at 12.00 to 12 July 2022 at 12.00 CEST, exclusively through Studenti Online (, according to the following instructions:

  1. register on if not already in possession of a Unibo username and password (institutional credentials). To do so:
    • connect to, access the “Register” section, and register;
    • fill in all the mandatory fields (foreign students not in possession of an Italian tax code number should go to the “International students registration” section) and follow the instructions to create a Unibo username and password. Important! The personal details of individuals registering on the site must correspond exactly to those indicated on their passport or identity card;
    • following the first access, the PUK code must be replaced with a personal password. It is important to remember and keep your Unibo username and password for the entire duration of your career, as they will be required every time you access your personal profile on;
  2. log in to, entering your Unibo username and password, and click “Calls”
  3. select “Admission to the First Cycle Degree programmes: Business and Economics (CLABE) reserved positions for displaced and asylum seeking students, a.y. 2022-23”
  4. check your contact information
  5. enter all required details
  6. upload all required documents in pdf format.

Important! The application will be deemed valid only if the student completes the above procedure correctly. Applications cannot be submitted on paper, by fax or by e-mail.

You must attach the following documents to your application, under penalty of nullity:

  1. a copy of your currently valid passport
  2. your secondary school diploma or a certificate of enrolment if you haven’t obtained it yet
  3. your curriculum vitae preferably in Europass format
  4. a letter of motivation.

Only if you are residing in Italy, you must also attach:

  1. a copy of your residence permit in Italy or application receipt.

All documents must be in Italian, English, French or Spanish.

All documents in any other language must be supported by a translation into English or Italian on plain (non-letterhead) paper. The translation may be done directly by the candidate.

The submission of the translated documents only is not admissible; they must always be accompanied by the original documents.

Applications that are not properly filled in or complete with all the required documents will not be accepted.

In this phase, it is not necessary to submit an official (sworn/certified) translation into Italian, or documents confirming the authenticity or concerning the value of the study qualification.

How will I be assessed for admission to the programme?

Your motivation and language, logical and mathematical skills will be assessed through the analysis of your dossier (composed of your curriculum vitae and your motivation letter) and an interview.

The overall score will be calculated as follows:

  • Curriculum Vitae and motivation letter: 20 points
  • Language skills: 40 points
  • Logical and mathematical skills: 40 points

The interview will take place on 18 July 2022 in person or online via Teams; the details of the interview will be notified to the applicants via e-mail. Late or absent candidates will not be evaluated for admission to the programmes.

Only candidates with a minimum score of 50/100 will be eligible for admission to the programme.

When will admission results be available?

Ranking lists for admission to the degree programmes will be drawn up according to candidates scores in decreasing order of points. On equal points, preference will be given to the younger candidate. The results will be notified on Studenti Online ( and via e-mail within July 2022.

Admitted students will have to pay the first instalment of tuition fees and complete the enrolment in the programme following the instructions provided by the International Desk.
