University of Bologna: COVID-19 Green Pass

As per the Decree-Law number 111, issued on the 6th of August 2021, from September 1st, university staff members and students must have a green pass and show it on the premises.

From 1 September to 31 December 2021, students and staff members of the University of Bologna must have and show their COVID-19 Green Pass in order to access any university facility.

This is established in the Decree-Law number 111 issued on 6 August 2021. After considering the pandemic evolution and the progression of the vaccinations, the Government issued new dispositions that concern the beginning of the next academic year.

This Decree-Law establishes that, during the 2021/22 academic year, university teaching and training activities will be carried out primarily in class. Furthermore, the Decree-Law number 111 also establishes that all university staff members (teaching, technical-administrative staff members and any other category of staff members), as well as all students, shall own and show their COVID-19 Green Pass to access the university premises and facilities starting from 1 September, 2021.

For this reason, from 1 September to 31 December, students at the University of Bologna must show their COVID-19 Green Pass in order to attend teaching and training activities in person. This requirement also applies to all university staff members (teaching staff, researchers, technical-administrative staff, managerial staff, foreign language instructors, workers and whoever is involved in university activities): having a COVID-19 Green Pass is compulsory from 1 September to 31 December 2021.

This compulsory requirement does not apply to those who are exempt from vaccinations due to medical reasons proven by a medical certificate compliant with the criteria defined by the Ministry of Health.

The University of Bologna will continue to abide by its health and safety protocol to allow university activities to be carried out in total safety. As per the decision of the Academic Bodies, all teaching activities will be carried out both in-class and online with the same methods and tools that were used during the previous academic year.
