Commendation for civic commitment to Unibo students

The University of Bologna intends to recognise the work of those who dedicated their time to take care of others and common assets over the last year. The questionnaire to identify the actions, activities, and projects is underway.

Once again, for the next academic year the University of Bologna intends to recognise the work of those who dedicated their time to take care of others and common assets over the last year. The questionnaire to identify the actions, activities, and projects carried out by students and their link to the Sustainable Development Goals in the UN 2030 Agenda, is underway.

After last year’s positive experience, when the University made 369 commendations for civic commitment, the initiative planned for 2021/22 recognises the civic commitment of all Unibo students enrolled in first and second cycle degree programmes, single cycle degree programmes, PhD programmes, and those who completed training courses in 2021.

The questionnaire to identify the actions, activities, and projects carried out by students and their link to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the UN 2030 Agenda is the same as last year and was approved by the Academic Bodies in June 2021. The assessment of the activities identified by the questionnaire will be made by a Committee formed by Professor Elena Trombini – Vice Rector, Professor Tullia Gallina Toschi – Coordinator of the sperimental project conducted in 2020, and by Student Council Members Davide Ramelli and Giacomo Zanni.

Available until 6 September 2021, the questionnaire is targeted to students enrolled in the  2020/21 a.y. and to those who graduated in 2021 before the date on which the questionnaire was made available. At the end of the activity, assessments will be made to evaluate the opportunity to continue with the initiative.

Last year, of the 1697 questionnaires submitted, 1294 were incomplete. Out of the 403 complete questionnaires the Work Group examined 373 considered correctly filled in and, based on the Work Group’s assessments, the University gave 369 commendations for civic commitment. The activities most mentioned by students were: “A un metro da te” project; Task force mask laboratory; Cineteca; UNA TEN.
