Almae Matris Alumni - The Alumni Association of the University of Bologna

Students and graduates of the University of Bologna can now keep in touch by entering the Almae Matris Alumni, a network of professional development, job-seeking initiatives, exclusive events, mentoring programs and cultural as well as sports activities.

A community for the future, a community that belongs together at Unibo: the website of the newly-formed Alumni Association of the University of Bologna is online. Current students (junior alumni) and graduates (alumni) can join the network that the University and Fondazione Alma Mater created to carry out and deliver exclusive activities and services to our alumni.

The Association structure envisages different chapters: Affinity Chapters, National/International Chapters, Topic Chapters and Associated International Chapters. Each Chapter organizes and manages its initiatives independently from one another. Moreover, Chapters can count on a Chapter Leader and a Unibo Professor, who will function as a link between the Chapter activities and the corresponding university community and will be responsible for fostering synergies and collaborations between these two groups.

The Association has many activities scheduled. In particular, there will be Career Service and Job Search initiatives with an exclusive board of job listings; career counselling and job placement sessions; networking initiatives; "Get-help sessions", one-time informal talks inside the community; a Mentoring Program to create a network of relations and strengthen the connection between Unibo's junior and more senior alumni with the ultimate goal of creating a community of pioneering and outstanding professionals. The Association will also organise mentoring activities aimed at fostering students' entrepreneurship. Finally, in collaboration with the University, the Association will act as a mentor and/or evaluator in initiatives challenging Alumni to develop business creativity and innovation.
