Description
The LILAC project aims to develop a common teaching method among international partners, geared to combat early school leaving, to foster inclusion and to simplify the professional integration through specific workshops. They will treat topics related to current events, civic education, vocational training and women's empowerment, particularly as for equal opportunities. The English language, used as the vehicular language, allows to overcome the inequalities due to the heterogeneity and to plug any starting skills gaps. Thanks to project management criteria we aim to develop teaching methods oriented to use for training workshops.

  1. Creating an exportable method which is shared at European level for adult education.
  2. Widening the base of experiences to include the widest range of users.
  3. Most effective transfer of information as possible through frequent SAP, to be able to intervene on the issues that may come up.

Starting with an analysis of each local area, the skills will be allocated according to specific criteria which take account of:

  1. Composition of classes as well as the number and age of the students
  2. Check of the didactic uniformity
  3. Compliance with the project time allocated to each task (identification of a partner who verifies the consistency in timing and respect of deadlines)
  4. Check of the functionality and performance of the teaching method through a pre-implementation phase.
  5. Development of a common profile and a communication phase that considers the ones related to design and implementation.

The priorities are:

  • HORIZONTAL: Inclusive education, training and Youth
  • SCHOOL EDUCATION: Supporting schools to tackle early school leaving (ESL) and disadvantage as well as to address all students from the lowest to the highest end of the academic spectrum
  • ADULT EDUCATION: Extending and developing educators' competences.

Our targets are: students at risk of leaving school early; isolated and disadvantaged students; immigrants; students with special needs; disabled students; teachers and trainers; school leaders and managers of adult education units.
