Immigration and Residence Permit for non-EU Students

On arrival in Italy: how to apply for a residence permit in Ravenna

All non-EU students enrolling in degree programmes or single course units and intending to stay in Italy for more than 90 days must apply for a Residence Permit (permesso di soggiorno) for study purposes.

For general information and application procedure visit the page "On arrival in Italy: residence permit (permesso di soggiorno) for students enrolling in degree programmes or single course units".

If you live or are planning to live in Ravenna and surrounding areas, you can contact Ravenna Campus International Desk to receive information, advice and guidance regarding residence and immigration issues (residence permit, Italian tax code, bank account).

As an international student with non-EU citizenship, you must apply for a residence permit within 8 working days from your arrival to Italy.

After having completed the matriculation at Ravenna Campus International Desk, you can refer to the Immigration Office of the Municipality of Ravenna for support with your residence permit application.
