About AMIDILA
EU and Latin American partners
Its specific objective is to award 203 Erasmus Mundus Action 2 scholarships and so contribute:
- to the improvement of the academic education of human resources in Central and Latin America;
- to the increase of access rates to the universities studies of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in Central and Latin America;
- to increase the academic exchange and knowledge sharing between the EU and the Central and Latin America universities.
Moreover, through the implementation of the above 203 mobility AMIDILA aims at:
- foster institutional cooperation between the participating HEIs;
- develop Higher education teaching and learning capacity;
- build the management capacity of HEIs;
- share best practices in the management of mobility and recognition of study periods abroad through the Bologna process tools.

The AMIDILA mobility scheme will offer the available scholarships to:
- Students, researchers and university staff nationals of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua to study, research, work or teach in one of the EU partner universities;
- EU students, researchers and university staff to study, research, work or teach abroad in one of the Latin and Central America partner universities;
in the following fields of study:
- Agricultural Sciences (01)
- Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning (02)
- Business Studies and Management Sciences (04)
- Education, Teacher Training (05)
- Engineering, Technology (06)
- Geography, Geology (07)
- Law (10)
- Mathematics, Informatics (11)
- Medical Sciences (12)
- Natural Sciences (13)
- Social Sciences (14)
- Communication and Information Sciences (15)

AMIDILA is funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus Mundus programme, coordinated by the University of Bologna (Italy), co-coordinated by the Universidad Centroamericana (Nicaragua) and implemented by a partnership of 20 Higher Education Institutions, 9 EU universities and 11 Latin and Central America universities from the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
