Learning outcomes

- knowledge of physical processes;

- knowledge of key-themes of Human Geograhy, Economic Geography, Political Geography;

- capability in identify natural and human features in a given landscape (with a specific focus on the Italian landscape);

- skills in using graphs, maps, satellite images, also in Didactics contexts;

- awareness about local/global perspectives;

- active awareness about the concept of Sustainable Development and its application at school (Environmental Education).

Course contents

Geomorphology and Climatology

The Landscape: Human and Natural Features

Issues in Human Geography and Political-Economic Geography (Population, Man-Environment Interactions, Economic Sectors, Themes of Political Geography).

The Tools of Geography: graphs, maps, satellite images

Didactics of Geography and Environmental Education

Readings/Bibliography
