Learning outcomes
At the course end, the student has knowledge in educational contexts, both formal and non-formal, for: planning special educational projects allowing handicap reduction, and autonomy achievement; leading inclusive processes that involve people with various difficulties.
The student is able to think critically about educational strategies, as well as plan, manage and evaluate programmes characterized by "inclusive good practices" within a variety of contexts. In addition, the student learns epistemological foundations of Motor Praxeology, a branch of Human Motor Sciences, and particularly its basic concepts, such as: Motor Conduct, Universals of Games, Internal Logic and External Logic of play and games, Motor Interaction and Communication, Sociomotricity, Semiomotricity.
Finally, the student knows main models of Outdoor Education, and how to choose which one fits to an Olistic Educational strategy. In particular, the student is able to: know why is important to adopt an Outdoor education approach; use some typical Outdoor Education tool, such as Journeys, outdoor games, and so on; to promote and implement motor outdoor activities within different educational contexts.
Course contents
Special Pedagogy module:
- Bodily inclusive education
- overcoming social barriers, rather than mere personal deficit
- managing both structural shift and individual changes
- "right for all" to be involved in everyday life
- stimulating knowledge and sharing about developmental processes
Motor Praxeology module:
- Universal of Games: Space, Time, Objects, Scores, Roles, Relationships
- Motor Communication: Ludemas (Gestemas and Praxemas)
- Classification of motor activities.
Outdoor Education module:
- History of OE approach
- Main OE programmes and their specific characteristics
- Active and inclusive outdoor lifestyles promotion
