Teaching methods

Given the specific aims of the course, some of the classes will follow an interactive approach: beyond the explanations, the students will be involved in discussions and laboratories focused on the methodologies and other topics explained during the course.

Please, note that one third of both modules will be scheduled to be delivered online.

Assessment methods

For the first module, students will take a final oral exam consisting of 3-4 open questions on topics taken from the program.

The exam is aimed at verifying the knowledge of the topics and tools illustrated during the course and the ability to use these tools to plan a teaching unit in the legal field.

Graduation of the final grade: Preparation on a very limited number of topics; analytical skills emerging only with the help of the teacher; overall correct language → 18-19.

Preparation on a limited number of topics; limited analytical skills; correct language → 20-24.

Preparation on a large number of topics; analytical skills; mastery of specific terminology → 25-29.

Exhaustive preparation; analytical skills above average; full mastery of specific terminology; autonomous argumentation skills → 30-30L.

For students who attended at least the 70% of the classes it will be possible, in alternative, to take the exam through a practical group assignment and a multiple choice test. The duration of the written test will be 40 minutes; the grade for this test will be determined mathematically by the number of correct answers; the maximum score obtainable by giving all correct answers will be 30; the use of textbooks and notes is not permitted during the test.

For the second module, attending and not-attending students alike will be required to produce and to present a practical project: they will have to contact prof. Palmirani to have indications about the required characteristics of their personal project.

The final mark may be up to 30 cum laude, and will be determined by balancing the results obtained in the various stages of the examination.

Powerpoint slides will be used, and further reading and supplementary materials for individual study will be provided during the course.

Students with special needs related to different forms of disability or to DSA, are welcome to contact their teacher in order to be referred to the contact persons and to arrange the most appropriate measures to be taken.
