Learning outcomes
At the end of the module the student will achieve the ability to apply knowledge and comprehension in relation to the concepts of health and personal care, to the stages of the care process, the detection of the vital parameters, health care measures to be taken in emergency situations.

The CARE PROCESS
Definition and Introduction of the care process.
Features and process steps.
Clinical nursing.
METHODS FOR DETECTION OF VITAL PARAMETERS
Definition of vital parameters.
Blood Pressure.
Heart Rate.
Respiratory Rate.
Body temperature.
Pain.
Clinical nursing.
USE of PROPER CARE MEASURES IN SPECIFIC SITUATIONS
Signs and symptoms (observation).
Key elements in the approach to the person with a bladder catheter and drainages.
Clinical nursing.
APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR IN CASES OF FIRST AID
Basic actions in emergency situations.
Teaching methods
Lectures and practice exercises.
Assessment methods
Written exam with multiple choice questions (1 minute per question) of which only one is correct; to follow detection of the PA on person.
The overall evaluation of both parties is expressed in a single vote out of 30th.
During the written test it is not possible to consult textbooks and / or notes on the topics covered.
