Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student has knowledge on the characteristics of the animal cell, the correlation between structure and function and cellular differentiation. Furthermore, the student is able to recognize, through optical microscope observation, the cellular organelles and the different types of animal tissues.

Introduction: presentation and purpose of the teaching, calendar and teaching materials, final assessment methods.

Teaching methods

Lectures and Lab practises

In consideration of the types of activities and didactic methods adopted, the frequency of the lab activities require the frequency by all students at least 1 and 2 modules in e-learning mode. In addition, participation in specific training on safety and health in the places of study is strongly recommended. Indications on dates and frequency methods of module 3 can be consulted in the appropriate section of the course of study website.

Assessment methods

The assessment will take place through a written examination for the identification of four animal samples, followed by an oral one with more general questions.
