Learning outcomes

At the end of the seminar the student will acquire further knowledge relating to linguistic, literary and / or other related disciplines for the advancement of his/her knowledge through direct contact with scholars or experts from different disciplinary sectors.

Course contents

The Contemporary Poetry Seminar Officina di Poesia (30 h, 6 credits) consists of 12 afternoon meetings of two and a half hours each, held by Professors of the Department and by Professors from other Universities, both Italian and foreign.

To attend the Seminar the access to the Teaching resources section on Virtuale platform is required (there is no limited number and no other type of registration is required) before the start of the meetings.


The meetings (streamed via Teams at the following link) will be held on Wednesdays, 16.00-18.30, from February 2, 2022, in the Aula Pascoli in via Zamboni 32. Classroom-based mode attendance is managed by the presente.unibo.it service.

 

Topic

The Seminar is divided into two modules.

 

First module - The legacy of symbolism in Italian poetry of the 20th century. From Pascoli and d'Annunzio until the end of the century.

  • Wednesday February 23rd - Stefano Giovannuzzi (Università di Perugia): Istituzione letteraria e nuove generazioni: la poesia di inizio Novecento
  • Tuesday March 2nd - Niva Lorenzini: Sanguineti: ritratto del Novecento
  • Wednesday March 9th - Stefano Giovannuzzi (Università di Perugia): Anni Settanta: la letteratura fra storia e società

 

Second module - Criticism and poetry: new frontiers in text analysis.

Each meeting will provide specific bibliography relating to the topic dealt with.

Teaching methods

Seminars of two and a half hours each, involving students in debates.

Assessment methods

For the second cycle degree programme students in Italian Studies, European Literary Cultures, Linguistics, the registration of the 6 credits is subordinate to the presence of signatures in the frequency register (or to online verified presence) to 10 out of 12 meetings and the drafting of a short report written (max 3 pp.) relating to one of the topics covered during the Seminar.


The written report must be presented in pdf format (according to the model deposited in the teaching material) and delivered by email to the undersigned at least 10 days before each exam.
