Learning outcomes

At the end of the workshop the student: - is able to move independently in applying the specific techniques learnt or within projects organised by the institutions; - is able to confront with other subjects on the methods of use and documentation of the techniques learnt; - is able to place the specific knowledge learnt in different types of service; - is able to evaluate the limits and merits of the technical instruments learnt; - is able to transfer the technologies learnt in different contexts making personal modifications and integrations.

Course contents

The main aims of the workshop is to read, analyse and intervene in the co-management (school-family-community) of people with special educational needs through a focused, but also flexible, use of multiple theoretical and methodological tools responding to specific needs and contexts in times of emergency. The intention is also to stimulate reflexive processes in the participants, as well as to foster the formation of skills for inclusive work with pupils with special needs, taking into account the school, the families, the socio-cultural resources of the territory, as well as the health context with particular reference to those who must follow a procedure of constant clinical follow-up.

The contents that will be addressed through active methodologies will be the following:

Principles, paradigms and perspectives of Special Pedagogy in the training of the socio-cultural educator involved in helping relationships in different contexts;

The ICF (2001) and the bio-psycho-social perspective in socio-educational planning;

Analysis of some projects in socio-educational and health contexts;

Methods, tools and guidelines for inclusive observation: video analysis and videomicroanalysis;

Designing inclusion: how, when, where, what and why;

Networking and community building by activating local resources.

The bibliography will be provided during the workshop. Some

articles will be analysed and discussed during the training.

Teaching methods

 

The evaluation will be carried out in progress and will take into account the participation in the interactive proposals that include exercises, analysis and reflection on video documents, articles, etc.



The assessment includes a final presentation/exposé (to be made individually or in small groups at home) relating to a project design; analysis of projects or articles relating to the workshop topics; analysis of videos etc.

Assessment methods

 

The workshop will be characterised by a methodology that implies both moments of frontal lecture and moments dedicated to participation through the sharing of analyses and exercises planned in the classroom.
