Course contents

The laboratory entitled "The historical-educational heritage as a resource for social and cultural educators" intends to focus attention on the concept and forms of the historical-educational and school heritage as an object of study and resource of the social educator. The phrase 'historical-educational heritage' on the historical and theoretical level will be discussed and some significant examples will be provided. If the health condition permits, it will be possible to visit significant places in the history and educational memory of the territory as sources to be questioned in their heuristic value for the educator. Some research and action paths will be proposed on the recovery of the history of places and people within the educational services between past and present, through the presentation of possible sources and methods (written, oral, etc.) thus developing personal or small group. In this way the laboratory intends to contribute to the formation of a more conscious reflexivity on the educational practices carried out, but also to the importance of documenting and reconstructing the history and memory of some services and educational professionalism otherwise destined to leave no trace of oneself, memory .

Teaching methods

In the framework of a laboratory teaching, a first theoretical-methodological 'frontal' lesson will be joined by group activities focused on different research paths, including the analysis of documentary sources of educational services and / or the creation of video interviews with protagonists of the educational and professional history in the area, intended as historical-educational heritage to be known, preserved and enhanced for the professional training of educators.

Assessment methods

There is a final work to be agreed to be carried out individually or in small groups and to be presented during the last meeting.

The laboratory is to be considered as a normal course and, therefore, students will be assessed at the end of the teaching period on the basis of the work done during the laboratory.

The evaluation criteria used will be active participation in the laboratory and individual contribution in group work.

As required by the Ministerial Decree 270, the evaluation of the Laboratory, whose attendance is mandatory (20 hours out of 24), will take place using the appropriate or unsuitable judgments.
