Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student will know the basic principles about the most important diseases caused by pathogen microorganisms

Course contents

General principles about diagnosis and therapy of infectious diseases.
Respiratory tract infections: flu, alveolar and interstitial pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis
Endocarditis
Gastro-intestinal infections: cholera, minor salmonellosis
Viral hepatitis
Infectious osteomyelitis, infectious arthritis
Viral Hepatitis
Viral and bacterial meningitis
Arthropod-borne infections: Lyme disease
Sepsis
Covid-19
HIV infection and AIDS
