Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student: - knows the theoretical framework of the Ecological Approach to the Social Inclusion, Inclusive Education and the Quality of Life Model (QOL); - knows the main operational directions of the Ecological Approach underlying the processes of social inclusion, education and well-being; - knows the main theoretical and cultural references related to the construct of resilience in relation to fragility and vulnerability aimed at the development of an Life Project in the community; - is able to promote processes and practices of social inclusion and inclusive education in the community and at global level according to the approach of Universal Design (UD) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL); - is able to promote cultural and practical tools to development a Life Project to enhance the Quality of Life in the community; - is able to use of the universal design tried learning methods and of the acquired analysis tools for the development of his/her professional growth and for the for educational design.

Inclusive Education and Well- Being engaged in well-being and care project

M-PED /03 Traumatic event, resilience, quality of life perspective (QOL) and care. Ecological approach on inclusive education and social inclusion (4 CFU)

At the end of the course student,

  • Know the theoretical framework of the Ecological and Human Approach to the Social Inclusion, Inclusive Education and the Quality of Life Model (QOL).
  • Know the main operational directions of the Resilience Ecological and Social Approach of the Human Development underlying the processes of social inclusion, education and well-being.
  • Know the main theoretical and cultural references related to the construct of Inclusive Education and Social Inclusion in relation to fragility and vulnerability aimed at the development of an Life Project in the community.
  • Can promote processes and practices of social inclusion and inclusive education in the community and at global level according to the approach of Universal Design (UD) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

Assessment methods

Writing an essay in relation to the objectives of the course and oral test focused on the discussion of the essay. 

During the cours, the students will write individual and/or collective papers about the themes of the course, that will be considered for the final evaluation. The final (oral) examination will focus on the discussion of the papers.

This course unit is marked out of 30 (18 is considered the minimum to pass the exam), comprehensive of the two modules of the course.

The score depends on how much and deeply the students knows the themes of the course, being able to analyse the different  cases and to use the specific terminology of this field.

If students fail one round (appello d’esame), they can register for the following exam (appello).

The students must register themselves for the exam through Almaesami website (at least a week before each exam date).

The final examination carried out in English language, will be integrated with the other section of the course (EDUCATION AS LIFE DESIGN: BODY-MIND-EMOTION AND WELL-BEING prof.ssa Rita Casadei) 

 

Teaching tools

Students are expected to participate through small and large group work activities, analysis of video and paper documentation.

Use of slides, discussion of videos/documentaries and reading materials that will be partially available on the IOL platform. Students are invited to register to the course’s webpage on IOL platform by using their personal username and password.
