Learning outcomes

At the end of the workshop, the student is able to correctly and fluently translate prose and poetic literary texts from ancient Greek and Latin into Italian. (S)he also proves to possess multifaceted critical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Course contents

The lessons must be accompanied by homework by the student. Students who will not attend lessons must translate some texts agreed by the teacher. Beginning of Greek lessons: November 12th, 2020. Beginning of Latin lessons: November 10th, 2020, .

The knowledge of R. Pierini - R. Tosi, Capire il greco, Bologna (Patron) 2014 is raccomended.

Interactive seminar, integrated by homework of the student.

Assessment methods

Translation of a not known text. The form of Italian language and the comprehension of Greek text are both important.
