69399 - Spanish Language and Culture II (Second Language)

Learning outcomes

The student knows the fundamental elements (terms, ideas and methods) for the analysis of the structure, of the functions and of the textual and discursive organization of the spanish language - he/she is able to understand, analyze and provide particularly oral conversations (but also written texts) belonging to the relevant textual kinds, also in multimedial ambits - he/she is capable to spontaneously express him/herself in a very flowing and precise way also in complex commuticative situations.

Course contents

Lessons will be held twice a week during first term. The first lesson of the week will be mainly focused on grammar skills. The second will be aimed at strengthening writing techniques and communicative. In addition, the course provides an in-depth of the history of Spain through different audiovisual materials and group presentations.

Teaching methods

This course module requires a 70% student attendance. The lessons will be predominantly seminars, entailing the active participation of all students in class.

Assessment methods

The final examination aims to test theoretical contents as well as language skills. It consists of a written exam (on the grammatical contents) and an oral exam (on the topics of the course programme and on the obligatory readings).

The overall mark of the integrated course “Language and Cultural Mediation: Spanish II (Second Language)” will be the average between the marks obtained for course modules “Spanish Language and Culture II” and “Language Mediation between Spanish and Italian”.
