86759 - Written Production Italian Language Lab (LM) - Bologna 1

Academic Year 2020/2021

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures

Learning outcomes

The aim of this laboratory is to provide the students of Alma Mater Master's Degree programs with proper forms of intervention on language skills, which are, by definition, transversal to every field of academic and professional specialization. By doing so, moreover, the Alma Mater would face in a concrete way the emergency situation concerning the Italian level of university students that had a wide press coverage recently.

Course contents

The course will focus on functional writing. The primary goal is to provide students with the necessary skills to make them vary their written production according to the different textual types required when dealing with the conclusion of their university careers. Therefore, plenty of space will be dedicated to the Master's Degree thesis, before moving on to the curriculum vitae and the cover letter.

WARNING: even if it is not exclusively addressed to the native Italian speakers, this is not a language course for foreign students. Thus, in order to successfully attend the laboratory, it is necessary to have an advanced level of the Italian language, both in written and oral.

No mandatory bibliography is required for the exam. The teacher will provide the students with the didactic material used during the lessons and will supply the appropriate bibliographical suggestions, mainly on the basis of the following textbooks:
