Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student knows and is able to understand the clinical applications of clinical psychology in order to carry out adequate counselling procedures.
Course contents
Loss and mourning in obstetrics.
Psychological correlates of pregnancy, miscarriage, and voluntary interruption of pregnancy.
Illness behavior and psychological reaction to illness.
Job strain, burnout and psychological resilience in midwifery.
Psychological implications of caregiving.
Psychotherapeutic interventions.

Teaching methods
Frontal lessons with clinical exemplifications for a total of 24 hours.
Assessment methods
The final evaluation of Clinical Psychology will consist in a written report, based on the literature review of a specific topic, which will be agreed with the teacher.
