Learning outcomes

The target of the course is to provide students the basic knowledge to understand the organization as conoscitive synthesis, the evolutive path of the organizational theory in its different phases of methodological development together with the analysis of business management from the organizational point of view. At the end of the course the student will be able to: - know, understand the organizational problematics of different business functions in their theoretical and applicative aspects; - know to evaluate the structures and processes of organizations; - use software dedicated to analysis and solutions of problems connected to business management.

Teaching methods

Front lesson, class discussion on topics prepared by the students.

Lessons will be held by Profs. Guido Fioretti and Marcello Russo. Prof. Fioretti will mainly expound topic in the aforementioned "First Part" whereas Prof. Russo will mainly expound topics in the aforementioned "Second Part", respectively.

Assessment methods

HENCEFORTH, EXAMINATION RULES BEFORE COVID TIMES. INSOFAR THE COVID EMERGENCY PERSISTS, DIFFERENT RULES MAY BE ENACTED. PLEASE READ NEWS ON PROFS. G. FIORETTI AND M. RUSSO WEB SITES.

Written exam. Available time: 1 h. No partial exams. No oral exams to improve the evaluation obtained on the written exam. Any grade can be rejected. No limit to the number of times students are allowed to reject the grade they obtained.

The exam is made of 30 questions: 15 on the Bonazzi textbook, 15 on the Ferrari textbook. Answers must be short: max 2-3 lines. Longer answers will be ignored.

Each question contributes 1 mark to the final grade. Wrong or missing answers are valued zero. Honors are assigned to students who provide interesting and novel insights, besides answering all questions correctly.

The list of possible questions is freely available online. Possible answers will be discussed in class.
