Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand how physical activity affects the quality of life, in relation to changes in the aging process.

The student will gain the knowledge of identification and differentiation of volume and type of physical exercis, necessary to obtain the different health benefits and for the development of physical efficiency:

-on the risks related to physical exercise, in healthy elderly

-on the various metabolic and skeletal muscle adaptations

He will be able to carry out the analysis of the different protocols of physical activity, aimed at prevention.

Assessment methods

Oral examination to assess the comprehension of various aspects of the subjects covered and evaluate the critical capacity of student. Three questions related to the topic of program will be asked, while other specific question may be asked to evaluating student preparation.

Teaching tools

The lesson will be accompanied by visual and audiovisual media. Materials related to the course are made available electronically on the internet, to serve as a guide for further study to be carried out in class
