Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is able to understand and improve visual knowledge with special focus on fashion and advertising communication. Thanks to his/her experience of practice and poetics of photography, s/he will be able to recognize and organize fashion and advertising visual projects with critical awareness.

Course contents

There are 3 main topics we’ll analyse

1) ORIGINS AND FEATURES OF PHOTOGRAPHY

2) ORIGINS, POETICS AND MASTERS IN FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

3) ANALYSIS OF CASE HISTORIES ON THESE TOPICS: DANDYSM AND NEODANDYSM, LESBIAN CHIC STYLE, STAR SYSTEM, FASHION ICONS

Teaching methods

Powerpoint, workshop, analysys of pictures.

Through the elearning website (moodle) the student will download texts and pictures.

 

Assessment methods

Examination both for attending and non attending students

The oral examintion will evaluate the acqusition of contents, specific language, critical analysis, poetics and styles knowledge about photography and its relationships with historical, cultural, artistic and social system.

Lecture after lecture, students will be able to downlaod drafts and pictures discussed together from the e-learning website ( [https://elearning-cds.unibo.it/course/view.php?id=5903] )
