Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, students will: - know the applied cognitive psychology to the legal framework with particular reference to the testimony and the cognitive processes involved in it, to legal reasoning and its implications in the moment of decision, the psychology in criminal justice and civil.

Course contents

The program will focus issues related to the legal framework applied psychology. In particular, will address the issue of the cognitive processes involved in witness and the judge's reasoning. Will then be dealt with issues related to the exercise of the psychological profession in both civil and criminal matters.

The course will take place during the second semester (from March to May 2019) at the Bologna Campus of the School of Psychology and Education (address: Department of Psychology, Viale Berti Pichat 5, Bologna).

The exam aims to test the acquisition of reaching expertise provided during the course, whether theoretical and applied. This verification will be through its talk to the exam papers and evaluation will take place out of thirty
