Learning outcomes

The student knows the changes in cognitive processes and socio-affective in the life cycle. The student also knows the learning styles and social learning contexts: family, school, community, workplace. It acquires the capacity of designing educational, preventive and health promotion interventions at different stages of the life cycle aimed at families, schools and health professionals operators.

Course contents

Cognitive development in the life cycle.

Socio-emotional development in the life cycle.

Learning styles and strategies to enhance learning.

Educational and preventive interventions for health promotion.

Readings/Bibliography

At the beginning of the course the reference texts for the exam will be indicated.

Teaching methods

Lectures and work in small groups.

Assessment methods

The examination aims to assess:
- Knowledge of the topics exposed in the texts and during the lessons;
- Knowledge of the specific terminology used in the texts;
- Ability to apply the acquired knowledge for preventive and educational purposes.

The examination will be in a written form with 3 written open questions or, as an alternative possibility, will consists in writing and discussing a project on a topic agreed with the professor during the course.

The student is required to complete the online registration (Almaesami) within the terms in order to be admitted to the exam. In the case of technical problems the student is required to promptly contact the Segreteria Studenti and email prof. Sansavini (within the terms) who will consider the request and decide about the admission.
