Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student will acquire essential concepts to understand the morphology and molecular characteristics of the diseased vascular wall as well as to understand the role that resident vascular stem cells may have in the pathology of vascular wall.

Course contents

Arterial wall morphological and molecular composition. Vascular wall resident stem cells. Stem cell role in diseases of the arterial wall.

Teaching methods

The course consists of 1 CFU (frontal teaching) which will be held on June 2018 at the SS in Clinical Pathology, pad. 11, third floor, Policlinico S. Orsola.

Assessment methods

The final exam is an oral exposure of a topic chosen from: (1) Arterial wall morphological and molecular composition. (2) Vascular wall resident stem cells. (3) Stem cell role in diseases of the arterial wall.

The vote is 2/6 to the final grade of the Integrated Course.
