Learning outcomes

At the end of the workshop the student: - is able to move independently in applying the specific techniques learned autonomously or within the programs organized by the institutions - is able to have a confrontation with others about how to use and document the techniques learned; - is able to place the specific knowledge learned in different types of service; - is able to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the techniques learned; - is able to transfer learned technologies in different contexts by making personal modifications and integrations.

Course contents

Procedures and instruments for monitoring and evaluation of adult learning and training processes

The workshop aims to promote the development of skills related to the monitoring and evaluation of adult learning and training processes, highlighting the importance and complexity of the issues concerning these dimensions in relation to the international scientific debate in the fields of adult education and educational evaluation and in the light of the growing emphasis on lifelong learning and lifewide learning concepts. Based on these assumptions and objectives, consideration will be given to procedures and instruments that can be used to support the monitoring and evaluation of adult learning and training processes. Students will be encouraged to critically reflect on their use through learning activities focused on analysis of real-life problems and cases.

Materials and bibliographical references will be provided during the workshop.

Teaching methods

The workshop will focus on the use of active teaching methods by promoting student engagement through discussion, group work, analysis of real-life problems and cases. The activities will be supported through continuous references and insights into theoretical elements also addressed in other curricular activities of the degree programme.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods will focus on monitoring and evaluation of the level and type of student engagement in the activities carried out during the workshop as well as on the analysis and discussion of their work.
