Learning outcomes

General Surgery. Peculiar formative aims of General Surgery  (SSD MED/18) are based on the comprehension of surgical anatomy, physical and instrumental semeiotics, general characteristics of surgical therapy and of etiopathogenesis, physiopathology, symptomatology, diagnosis and therapy of gastroenteric tract and breast surgical illnesses.

Course contents

1. Gastroenteric tract anatomy. 2.Physical semeiotics of gastroenteric tract. 3. Instrumental semeiotic of gastroenteric tract. 4. Open surgery. 5. Laparoscopic Surgery. 6. Endoscopic surgery. 7. Haemorrhage from upper digestive tract. 8. Haemorrhage from lower digestive tract. 9. Peritonitis. 10. Acute Appendicitis

11.  Acute pancreatitis 12.Intestinal Occlusion. 13. Peptic ulcer. 12.Portal Hypertension and esophageal varices 13. Haemorrhoids and Anal Rhagades. 14. Gastric tumors. 15. Polypus and polyposis of the digestive tract. 16 Tumors of the colon-rectum. 17. Pancreatic  tumors. 18. Anatomy of the breast. 19. Physical semeiotics of the breast. 20. Instrumental semeiotics of the breast. 21. Breast tumors.22 Hiatal hernia, esophagitis, GERD, Achalasia 23Gallbladder stones

Will participate in the examination only those who have passed all the exams of the first year (Article 4 of the Regulation on the prerequisites CDL).

6 Thoracic Surgery (1 C.F.U.)

6 Locomotive System Diseases (1C.F.U.)

Failure to pass even one discipline of C.I. It involves the cancellation of the entire test.


And possible to take the test two more times in the same session.
