Knowlege of gastrointestinal diseases and the nutrition strategies for primary and secondary prevention
Course contents
Epidemiology and pathophysiology of the diseases of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract; of the hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases and of the malabsorption syndromes. Nutrition strategies for digestive diseases

There is a suggested textbook (a short guide published by the Italian Association of Teachers of Gastroenterology), in addition to slide sets that remain in the availability of the student.
Teaching methods
The course is characterized by two CFU of lectures.
Assessment methods
The final examination is aimed at evaluating the achievement by the student of all the teaching objectives:
the knowledge of the diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and the role of life style and nutrition in their primary and secondary prevention.
Teaching tools
Teaching material is characterized by a short book (published by the Italian Association of Gastroenterology Teachers) and by specific sets of slides, that are given to the students
