Learning outcomes
At the end of the teaching the student will be able to know the principal aspects about:
collection and storage of biological evidences,
DNA profiling, sequencing
statistical analysis for forensic purposes
Course contents
The biological stain, diagnosis, hair analysis, DNA profiling, SNPs analysis, mtDNA analysis on evidences, evaluation of mixed stains. Inhibitors and contamination od biological stains. DNA extraction on biological stains. Applications on caseworks. Application of DNA profilig on paternity test, deficient paternity cases.
