Peer-to-peer tutorship

The University of Bologna provides peer-to-peer tutorship in favour of disabled students enrolled at the University.

The peer-to-peer tutorship consists in personal care activities by  this University’s students to help other disabled or physically impaired students. This service aims to eliminate or T at least reduce to a minimum the difficulties which disabled students might encounter during their academic progress due to their disabilities.

The actual tutorship activities will be decided on the grounds of the specific needs referred by the disabled student. These activities may comprise classroom support (in the rapports with teachers and fellow students), support to the individual study, and aid in the other day-to-day situations of university life.

The tutors may also help disabled or physically impaired students in their transfer between one university building and another during everyday academic activities.
