Academy of Sciences
The Institute of Bologna Academy of Sciences is one of the most famous scientific societies in Europe. Every year about 1500 academics take part in seminars organised by the Academy. The seminars are organised in close cooperation with the University of Bologna to satisfy the need for scientific updates.
The age-old institution annually hosts important scientific events and the participation of Nobel Prize winners is not a rare event especially in the physics, chemistry and biology sectors.
The humanistic section has promoted prestigious international meetings such as the visit in 2002 of the Bulgarian Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha. As regards the cultural heritage section it is important to highlight the presentation of the new cultural heritage code by the Minister Urbani.
