Commencing from the 2017/18 academic year, the international programme catalogue of the Alma Mater includes new first- and second-cycle degree programmes.
The following degree programmes have been introduced:
- Single cycle degree programme in Medicine and Surgery at the School of Medicine
- Second cycle degree programme in Digital Humanities and Digital Knowledge at the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies (in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering)
- First cycle degree programme in Genomics at the School of Pharmacy, Biotechnology, and Sport Science
- Second cycle degree programme in Wellness Culture: Sport, Health and Tourism at the School of Pharmacy, Biotechnology, and Sport Science and the Department for Life Quality Studies (Rimini Campus)
- Second cycle degree programme in Advanced automotive electronic engineering at the School of Engineering and Architecture
- Second cycle degree programme in Advanced automotive engineering at the School of Engineering and Architecture
In addition to the new courses taught in English, there will be a number of changes to existing degree programmes from the next academic year, again with an international focus:
- Statistical Sciences, which replaces the second cycle degree programme in Statistical sciences, taught in Italian and English, at the School of Economics, Management and Statistics
- Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology, which replaces the second cycle degree programme in the Psychology of organisations and services at the School of Psychology and Education
- International Cooperation of Human Rights and Intercultural Heritage, which replaces the second cycle degree programme in International cooperation on human rights and intercultural heritage, taught in Italian, at the School of Political Sciences
In addition, a number of new international curricula, taught in English, will be introduced:
- Italian Studies, within the second cycle degree programme in Italian studies, European literatures and linguistics at the School of Arts, Humanities, and Cultural Heritage
- Forecasting, Innovation and Change, within the second cycle degree programme in International relations at the School of Political Sciences
- Materials Physics and Nanoscience, within the second cycle degree programme in Physics at the School of Science
