Description
The main aim of the project “The EU teachers’ Community” is the improving of school teachers’ ability of explaining EU at school.

As a development of the previous projects the training phase will be organized into a two days Seminar training course addressed to a total of 150 teachers selected to national scale but this year the Seminar will take place three times, one in Bertinoro (Europe Direct of Forlì), one in Bologna (Europe Direct Assemblea Legislativa) and one time in Reggio Emilia (Europe Direct Carrefour Europeo).

At each Seminar will attend 50 different teachers, selected through an open call. The multiply effect of the project will be three times larger than the previous projects.

During this course the Professors of the University of Bologna (member of the Scientific Committee of the Europe Direct Forlì, granted as JM Centre of Excellence 2014-2017) and from European and International University network will give to school teachers the basis of the European integration

The training will continue “at home” through a 4 Months virtual class in which the e-learning that will be open to all the teachers who send their application to the Seminars phase and to the teachers attending the previous projects (almost 750).

During this period the EU will be presented through thematic in-depth analysis. For this edition the intention is to empower this platform increasing the EU themes covered (through the implementation of the e-book) and increasing also the number of users, making it a real Community of Italian teachers projected to Europe.

In meanwhile the European issues will enter into school also through meetings organised to explain the history of European integration and how the EU works.

An important moment of the project will be the celebration of the Europe Day, with the organisation of activities for school students. The EU teachers’ Final Conference will be the moment in which exchange opinions, and debate about the experience.

Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union
