How to get to the Environmental Science building

Instructions for reaching the library by public transport or by car

The library stands in the northern suburbs of the town, occupying the second floor of the ITAS building (Istituto Tecnico Agrario "L. Perdisa") next to the Environmental Science laboratories.

By car

Follow the road signs to the Environmental Science labs and park outside the laboratory gates in Via Sant’Alberto 163 or in Via dell'Agricoltura 5, and the Environmental Science carpark (second private road on the left, coming from the Rotonda Svezia roundabout, or first on the right coming from Via Sant'Alberto).

By train

The library is about 4 Km from the train station. You are advised to use a bicycle (see below) or a bus (see below).

By bicycle or on foot

The library is about 4 Km from the town centre. On leaving the station, turn right, go down Via Maroncelli, Via Ugo Bassi and Via Rocca Brancaleone until you come to the ring road. At the roundabout turn left, go straight on until the traffic light where you turn right into Via Sant’Alberto. Continue north towards the suburbs for about 1.5 kilometres, keeping on the left-hand side. Go under the railway pedestrian underpass on the left-hand side of the road just before the railway. Come out at the second exit and turn left. After about 100 metres you reach the gate.
You may use one of the bicycles from the municipal "C'entro in bici" service.

By bus

From the town centre and railway station the urban bus lines are:

  • line 5 (bound for Case INA): get off at the last stop but one before the terminus (n. 847), cross the road and it’s 20 metres to the gate;
  • line 3 (bound for Via Cicognani): get off at the Via Brunelli stop (n. 639), walk back to the corner, turn left and go on for about 300 metres down that cul-de-sac; go under the railway pedestrian underpass on the left-hand side of the street, just before the railway. Come out by the second exit and turn left. After about 100 metres you reach the gate.
