Conservation and cultural heritage

Antonio José Landi (Bologna, October 30, 1713 - Belem June 22, 1791) was an Italian architect with remarkable performance in the Amazon.

Prof. Marinella Pigozzi research activities could be described as follows:

  • cultural Heritage  seen as a basis for economic development
  • interaction between conservation and cultural heritage
  • heritage and landscape
  • conservation and valorisation of artistic tradition and its testimonies in their original geographic context.

  Prof. Marinella Pigozzi, Department of Arts maintains scientific collaborations with the Universidade Federal do Pará -  Centro Tecnológico - Departamento  in Belem, and in particular with Departamento de Arquitetura e Urbanismo Forum Landi, in Belem.

Prof. Elna Maria Andersen Trindade as a researcher of the Italian influence on the Amazonian architecture and  prof. Flavio Augusto Sidrim Nassar, Pro Rector for International Relations and Director of Forum Landi (the Italian Architect that has been very active in Belem) are prof. Pigozzi scientific partners.

2011, 4-8 Avril - VIII Coloquio Luso-Brasileiro de Historia da Arte e II Reuniâo Internacional do Forum Landi. Prof. Pigozzi held a course on tratatos de Architectura
