Scientific collaboration between prof. Roberto Mingucci and Eng. Aurelio Muzzarelli, Department of Architecture with prof. Ana Clara Mourão Moura, Federal University of Minas Gerais, School of Architecture.
- latest’s evolution in GIS methodology and applications, evaluating how these tools have changed our way of representing and projecting the territory: a new vision on territorial representation, such as the azimuth visualization, considering mental maps, and the process of parameterization;
- tendencies and values of fully employing geo-technologies, creation of interpretative portraits for reality, production of simulated sceneries, visualization on decision making;
- Site documentation at the territorial scale taking advantage of CAD/BIM systems; using sophisticated equipment such as laser scanners or UAV drones for data collection operating in web-based information systems context.
Forthcoming scientific collaborations
in 2014, Prof. Ana Clara Mourão Moura is expected as visiting professor to give a series of lectures on GIS technologies in planning and management processes of urban and architectural spaces.
