Scientific collaboration between Maria Patrizia Violi, Cristina Demaria and Anna Maria Lorusso (Department of Philosophy and Communication, and Intra-Departmental Research Centre Trame on Memory and Cultural Traumas:Ana Claudia de Oliveira (Programa de estudos Pós Graduados em Comunicação e Semiótica, Pontíficia Universidade Católica de São Paulo) on the following topics:
- Urban spaces and the construction of their meaning through the analysis of social and communicative practices - social, political, artistic – within a comparative framework of European and Brazilian urban realities. Forms of re-territorialisation and re-semantisation of the new cities, with a special attention to the division of urban areas in different conflicting spaces (gated communities, favelas, public spaces and so on)
- Conservation, transmission and construction of cultural and collective memories, in public spaces such as museums, memory sites, monuments etc., as well as in other forms of texts (both from popular and non popular culture), with special focus on the elaboration of different and conflicting memories and narratives (pre-colonial, colonial, industrial and so on).
Recent Scientific collaboration
- February, 2011: visit of Prof. Luiz Tatit, Departamento de Linguística of the Faculdade de Letras, Filosofia e Ciências Humanas, USP, for the final discussion of the co-tutored PhD dissertation of Paolo Demuru, at present post-doc researcher at Faculdade de Filosofia, Comunicação, Letras e Artes, PUC-SP (Pontíficia Universidade Católica de São Paulo).
