Survey of the Cultural Landscape through the documentation in digital format of religious buildings belonging to the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte and particularly focusing on the architectural ensembles of the "Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Ó", "Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição", "Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário "and" Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Carmo " surroundings, located in the city of Sabará (MG). The project main objective is the preservation of their cultural and historical heritage through the use of architectural photogrammetry techniques, experimenting other technologies like laser scanning.
Project main objectives:
to study the effectiveness of the new survey processes of historical heritage buildings in an integrated environment through the use of photogrammetric techniques, focusing the efficiency increase of collecting and organizing data for the execution of projects of buildings and architectural ensembles restoration.
1 – Development of architectural survey methodologies that can be applied for managing the inventory of the cultural and religious heritage of the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte and its historical listed heritage at federal, state and municipal level requiring restoration interventions;
2 – new survey of the architectural ensemble located near the main churches of Sabará with the purpose of recovering its original style, identifying the elements in disagreement with the urban space;
3 – Training of students and technicians who will be involved in this project together with professors engaged in research activities;
4 – Application of knowledge acquired in the courses of postgraduate teaching in Geography "Tratamento Informação Espacial" and in the disciplines of degree courses in Architecture and Urban Planning of PUC Minas.
